Kevin Duncan Joins Foundation Stable

Kevin Duncan is the latest North-East based Professional to gain support from the Paul Lawrie Foundation as he joins the 1999 Open Champion’s stable.

The 27 year old from Ellon entered the Professional ranks at the start of the year (playing to a +3 hanidcap at the time).  He secured playing rights on the EuroPro Tour circuit and played the majority of his golf on this stage.

A former Junior Club Champion at Ellon Golf Club, Kevin gained a Golf Scholarship to the Clayton State University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2008 where he competed for two years, playing in the NCAA Championships as part of his College team.

Kevin, who currently leads the North East Alliance Order of Merit table commented on becoming a Foundation-supported player:  “I was delighted to get the message from Paul, which came a little out of the blue.  I am really grateful to have been selected.  The financial support is great and will help with the costs of competing but most important is having access to Paul who has played at the highest level for a long time.  Being able to seek his advice will be invaluable.”

As a Foundation player, Kevin will be attached to the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre where he’ll have full use of the first-class facilities.  He’ll also be able to seek advice from Paul, tapping-in to his vast knowledge and experience of the Professional game.
